‘Soul of Nation’ exploring history of Black entertainers in Vegas in upcoming Black History Month special

ABC News’ Emmy Award-winning Soul of a Nation series will be back with a one-hour special during Black History Month. Black in Vegas will explore the history that paved the way for Black entertainers to perform in the city and make it their home.

Usher, Ne-Yo, Smokey Robinson, George Wallace, Luenell and Anna Bailey will appear in the upcoming special, which will also feature an exclusive interview with Sammy Davis Jr. about his experience performing in Las Vegas.

Cultural commentators and workers in leadership positions at hotels and theaters will also share their experience of living on the Strip, while artists performing there later this year reflect on what it means to be “Black in Vegas.”

Soul of a Nation Presents: Black in Vegas will premiere at the top of Black History Month, February 1. It will air at 10 p.m. ET on ABC and stream the following day on Hulu.

ABC News will also roll out Black History Month content via other shows throughout the network.
